Dr. Wong works with children and families. She holds a doctorate in clinical psychology, a master’s degree in counselling, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She provides services in both English and Chinese.

After completing her master’s degree, Dr. Wong worked in a range of clinical settings. She began in a youth detention centre, where she provided addiction treatment. She later worked in child and youth mental health services, non-profit agencies, and private practice. She has close to 25 years of experience working directly with children, youth, and families.

Dr. Wong also volunteered in the Philippines for over one year. She worked at the Child Protection Unit at the Philippines General Hospital with pediatricians and social workers, supporting children involved in abuse and neglect investigations, providing psychoeducation in the community, and offering treatment to families.

Dr. Wong’s interest in understanding the causes of psychological difficulties, and in using this understanding to guide treatment recommendations, led her to pursue doctoral training in clinical psychology. After earning her doctorate, she briefly worked at BC Children’s Hospital, providing psychological care to children with medical conditions. Since completing her pre-doctoral internship, she has focused on autism and psychological assessments in private settings.
