Important information regarding COVID-19

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are doing our best to ensure safety and welfare of our clients and staff.  As we are currently in Step 3 of BC’s Restart Plan, we continue to provide services through Telehealth whenever possible.  For in-person services, we observe the following COVID-19 protocols:

Informed consent

  • During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are obligated to provide contact information of any of our clients to appropriate health authorities for the purpose of COVID-19 contact tracing in the case of COVID-19 infection.

  • Should such a situation arise, we would only report the minimum information necessary for contact tracing.

COVID-19 measures in the office

  • Chairs and tables will be cleaned with disinfectant after each session.

  • Any pens used in the office will be wiped with disinfectant after use.

  • A plexiglass barrier has been installed in the assessment rooms.

  • No handshaking or physical touch.

Client rules and guidelines

  • We offer Telehealth appointments whenever possible and when they do not affect the integrity of the assessments.

  • Clients will only keep in-person appointments if they are symptom-free.

  • Clients are recommended to put on a mask and wash their hands or use hand sanitizer when they enter the office.

  • Clients will adhere to the safe distancing precautions set up in the waiting room and assessment rooms.

  • Clients are recommended to wear a mask in all areas of the office.

  • If clients have had contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 within the previous 14 days, they will not attend in person and will inform our office immediately.

If you or/and your family tested positive for COVID-19

  • If you are tested positive for COVID-19, you will need to reschedule your appointment. You will need to be symptom free for 14 days and then you can attend your in-person appointment.

  • If clients have had contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 within the previous 14 days, they will not attend in person and will inform our office immediately.
